SUPPERCLUB challenges prevailing hierarchies of food and cultural knowledge mediators by focusing on the stories of food, told through the perspectives of local food lovers who have intimate, everyday knowledge of what they’re eating and how to eat it. Together, they weave stories about the culinary experience that are sentimental and relatable, yet also unique. In this episode, Malay travels to Desa Les in North Bali where a beloved chef and Hindu priest is experimenting with the elements at the heart of a traditional Balinese kitchen.
