Touboo Ilal Rabbi | تُوبُوا إلى الرَّبِ | Repent to the Lord

A classic Arabic Maronite hymn calling sinners to repentance. The hymn emphasises the importance of turning to God before time runs out (Matthew 4:17). This hymn is popular during the Season of the Cross, due to it's focus on the end times and relation to the Second Coming of Christ. The hymn has no English adaptation. Lyric Translations: Chorus: Repent to the Lord, for the Kingdom is near, return to love, for what is outside of love is a stranger to Him. 1. Grant me a drop of your compassion and the desert will be transformed into promises. Or grant my eyes a tear and in its basin, I become like a child. 2. From the depth of my iniquities I have called; listen to my plea, I have not hoped for anything but your face. His meeting place is the banquet of my hope. 3. And if shame overwhelms me or silences my mouth, may the pulse of your love remain in my blood until the end.
