8 DAYS IN THE BWCA - 2019 LLC Voyage

In June 2019, I spent 8 days in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness with 3 friends for a little wilderness immersion and fishing. We entered at EP16 (Moose River North) and traveled up the Moose River, through Agnes, to stay in Lady Boot Bay on Lac La Croix (LLC). Then we headed through Pocket Creek to Ge-be-on-e-quet, Oyster, Agnes, and back down the Moose River to exit through EP16. We originally planned on heading to Iron after 3-4 nights on LLC, but a complete lack of lake trout catches for our group led to a desire for a second chance, so we decided to head to Oyster instead. I ended up landing two beautiful lakers which made the trip for me. All in all, this was my longest trip yet, at just about 50 miles total distance traveled (according to GPS), with 22 miles of that being on day 1 (a 12-hour day - woof!!). I planned on putting my gear list and route info here, but I'm too lazy to type it all in right now.
