Formation 1: Potterne Field, nr. Devizes, Wiltshire. 28/05/2020 The circle can be immediately interpreted as an image of the Covid-19 virus molecule, with what looks to be something inserted into it. What is trying to be communicated here? Are we trying to be warned about something? The outer perimeter of the body of the formation is made up of 12 circles, so this formation is divided up into 12 – some of the circular elements are on stalks of different lengths. There are then six standing circles inside the main body of the formation, three small, there larger – 3, 6 and 12 are all related numbers. One of the twelve outer circles is on the end of a very long pathway and contained within it are a collection of eight standing tufts, regularly placed in a circle. Fomration 2: Near Cley Hill, Warminster, Wiltshire. 30/05/2020 The symbolism of this circle is two-fold in more ways than one. In the first instance we can immediately see the Yin/Yang motif at the centre of the crop circle. The second part of the symbolism of this crop circle is its quintuplet motif. There are four equally spaced circles around the perimeter and the central circle – arranged like five dots on a die – four around a central fifth. Yin/Yang is about being compassionate to difference, embracing it and taking into our hearts as a part of ourselves. We are enriched by diversity, we are made whole by our opposites, we become a mirror image of unity, when we can hold all difference, diversity and opposition within ourselves - only then will we find the peace and harmony we desperately seek. Formation 3: Sixpenny Handley, Dorset. 31/05/2020 The circle is essentially 12-fold – although you can clearly see from the pictures that a division by 24 is necessary to construct the pattern. It’s clock, or wheel-like appearance is interesting as 12 is a number intimately connected with time and measure. Twelve is sometimes seen as the optimum way to divide a circle, and many traditional designs use twelve as their base number. Our ancestors divided the heavens into twelve zodiacal constellations. With just these few things, it easy to see how these associations were made. All of them tie together with the circle, the symbol of perfect unity. The imperial measure system, time of day and time of the year, and the great year are linked by 12 and the circle. They create a unity of system, in other words a ‘unified system of time and measure’. In this way, we become aligned with the Cosmos.
