Sound Check: Fender Custom Shop LTD Dual-Mag II Stratocaster, Journeyman Relic - Aged Black over 3CB

This week's Fender Custom Shop spotlight shines on this Limited Edition Dual-Mag II Strat Journeyman Relic with its proudly aged Black finish over a 3 colour sunburst. Dual-Mag Strats feature single coil pickups comprised of two types of Alnico magnets, resulting in a wonderfully balanced tone with shimmering highs and deep lows. The Custom Shop Dual-Mag II pickups are hand wound with a few extra winds of wire for a slightly hotter character. The Dual-Mag II Strat features a roasted alder body with a Relic® lacquer finish. A roasted rift-sawn maple neck has a flat-lam rosewood fingerboard, ’60-style oval “C” back-shape, 9.5” fingerboard radius and 21 jumbo frets. Dual-Mag II pickups feature five-way switching and Strat ½ blender with tone saver treble bleed wiring, all mounted on a three-ply black pickguard. Other features include Custom Shop vintage-style synchronised tremolo, vintage-style tuning machines, bone nut and a wing string tree with metal spacer.
