Footage from 2001 of Superman: Ride of Steel at Six Flags New England, which now goes by the name Superman the Ride! Video filmed by ‪@imansfield‬ This Intamin Mega Coaster dominated the 2000s and was constantly voted the world's best steel roller coaster, year after year! Watch how fast the train travels the ride's 2nd half in this video and it becomes obvious why this was! Especially with the original T-Bar restraint. (The speed is more obvious during the off-ride footage later in the video, the POV was filmed in the morning with a half empty train.) I'm working on a Problematic Roller Coasters video covering Superman and I love this footage as it showcases the ride in a rare period of time before any modifications or identity changes were made to the coaster!
