Welcome to TEchi World Walk! A walking tour of the Morningside neighborhood was on the list of the area to explore. I have stayed, walked, and driven there many times in the past. However, this would be the first time exploring the place with a camera. I wanted to capture, to share the Grant memorial, the international house, Sakura Park, and more. Sharing the experiences of my past and present with you is always part of my walk exploration. Many streets and places are not always like the stories you hear and read. Thanks. #morning #riverside #techiworldwalk Morningside Neighborhood Morningside Heights is a neighborhood on the West Side of Upper Manhattan in New York City. It is bounded by Morningside Drive to the east, 125th Street to the north, 110th Street to the south, and Riverside Drive to the west. One of the three neighborhoods comprising West Harlem, Morningside Heights borders Central Harlem and Morningside Park to the east, Manhattanville to the north, the Manhattan Valley section of the Upper West Side to the south, and Riverside Park to the west. The main thoroughfare is Broadway, which runs north-south through the neighborhood. Morningside Heights, located on a high plateau between Morningside and Riverside Parks, was hard to access until the late 19th century and was sparsely developed except for the Bloomingdale and Leake and Watts asylums. Morningside Heights and the Upper West Side were considered part of the Bloomingdale District until Morningside Park was finished in the late 19th century. Sakura Park Sakura Park is a public park located in the Morningside Heights neighborhood in Manhattan, New York City, north of West 122nd Street between Riverside Drive and Claremont Avenue.
