In this episode of Renna’s Corner Conversations, we talk about sensory rooms and how they can support children with autism, developmental disabilities, and other sensory needs. Sensory rooms can provide a calming and supportive environment where children can regulate their bodies, explore different sensory experiences, and build skills in a safe space. These types of environments can be incredibly helpful for many families navigating sensory challenges. We also share some helpful resources for learning more about sensory rooms and sensory tools. Links in the comments below. If you're interested in scheduling a visit to the sensory room, you can reach out to: Brett Spencer dbs21@psu.edu We actually ran out of time during this conversation, but we will be filming a Part II episode inside the sensory room with Brett in person in a few weeks, so stay tuned for that! About Renna’s Corner Renna’s Corner was created to support families raising children with disabilities, genetic conditions, and complex needs.
