Step back in time with the legendary German Kriegslok (Class 52), now owned by Austria’s Das Heizhaus Eisenbahn Museum. Originally designated as ÜK 50 3144 by the Deutsche Reichsbahn, this wartime steam locomotive was designed for military transport during World War II. After the war, it remained in Yugoslavia as 33-044, where it served until 1974, operating in Serbia and Bosnia. In 1991, the Austrian 1.öSEK acquired the locomotive, along with five others, and transported it to Strasshof. By 1994, it was fully restored to working condition in Budapest and given its original number, **52 100**, complete with a grey paint scheme reminiscent of the prototype locomotive (52 001). This video captures a stunning parallel journey featuring the 52 100 during the *Czech 'Festival Parnich Lokomotive'* in Benešov u Prahy in September 2024, showcasing its power and beauty in breathtaking slow motion. *Technical Specs:* *Type:* Steam locomotive *Year Built:* 1943 *Manufacturer:* Krauss-Maffei AG *Configuration:* 1’E h2 *Top Speed:* 80 km/h *Power:* 1,621 PSi *Service Weight:* 102.7 tons *Boiler Pressure:* 16 kg/cm² *Length:* 22,975 mm *Designed by:* Borsig *Production Years:* 1942–1952 *Number Built:* 6,244 *Service Routes:* Europe and former Soviet Union A symbol of wartime engineering, the Class 52 Kriegslok was vital during World War II and post-war Europe.
