He decided to earn my Doctorate of Dental Surgery and underwent a year-long General Practice Residency at Northwestern University in Chicago. He then went on to complete a four-year oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center, where he gained hands-on surgical training in real hospital situations. Dr. Kitamura's father is an orthodontist, so he grew up around the field of dentistry and knew that he wanted a career in which he could help others. So, after earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology at the University of the Pacific, he continued on to complete their dental school. After earning his dental degree, he received additional training during a general practice residency at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu and discovered his love for oral surgery. He went on to complete his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Carl Foundation Hospital in Illinois. Eva Kiezik, DMD, was born in Poland and immigrated to Manhattan when she was 10 years old. She prides herself on her empathy and feels that her biggest strength is her ability to adapt to her patients’ needs. With a lifelong passion for helping people and a love for mission trips and travel, pursuing a career in medicine was a natural fit for her. She decided to go into oral surgery because oral surgery is the most challenging level of dentistry you can pursue, and Dr. Kiezik loves to be challenged by a career that demands continuous learning. Dr. Kiezik graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in general science before going on to dental school at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon. She completed her general practice residency at the Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu, and her OMS internship and OMFS residency at Ohio State University, graduating in 2019.
