Just to see how are these second hand elevators doing in 2023. Very little has changed in the service elevator since my last take. By the time this video was taken the passenger elevator still used touchless buttons both inside and outside, but it got a new OTIS fireman switch outside (there was no fire switch before). Now the touchless buttons inside have been removed as per Lingga Elevator's latest video of this elevator. The passenger elevator was originally scenic until they've covered the entire glass with a massive floor guide (so what's the point installing a glass elevator in the first place?). The landing doors, originally glass, were replaced to solid Sigma doors (based on the L-shaped keyhole) sometime in 2017. So basically this elevator now has a mixture of parts from different brands; OTIS fire switch, Sigma landing doors, generic indicators, etc. A bit of history of the elevators here: The building was built in 2009 and was originally a dead shopping mall until it was bought by a new owner in 2016 and renovating it into a brand new mall. However for whatever reason I really don't understand they decided to restore the existing elevator by relocating it slightly and modernizing it instead of installing a new one. Not only that but they've also added a second hand Hyundai glass elevator since the building only had one elevator. To be honest this is very disappointing for a rather nice mall having second-hand elevators as they ruin the place a bit and give that "unsafe" or "junk" impression to shoppers. Could this be one of the worst elevators I've been on in Bali? Please keep in mind that what I've stated above is just my honest opinion. Just consider this as a review like someone reviewing a car, food, places or whatever.
