As we wrapped up the final leg of our winter escape to Florida, we slowed down in one of the most magical places we’ve ever experienced: St. Augustine, Florida, during Nights of Lights ✨. Even better, we shared this chapter with two people who have become more than fellow YouTubers — Duane and Belinda from All About The Banks — friends who remind us why we chose this lifestyle in the first place. From sunset beach walks and hiking coastal trails, to a bourbon tasting at the St. Augustine Distillery, this stop checked off a true bucket-list experience. The city itself was glowing with holiday spirit, history, and charm — proof that St. Augustine is something truly special, especially during the holidays. This leg of the trip also brought some firsts: Carol towed our Keystone Alpine Avalanche 338GK for the first time We extended our stay due to winter weather advisories and snow up north And in true Gemini fashion, we “hot-footed” it home — covering 852 miles on our first leg back before overnighting and finishing the journey But what made this trip unforgettable wasn’t just the scenery — it was the people. RV friendships have profoundly changed our lives. The conversations, laughter, shared meals, and simple moments of being present together reminded us that this lifestyle is about community, not just travel.
