'Heartless' woman who 'kicked and choked pet dog' in viral video arrested - Today News

For any copyright, please send me a message.  A woman has been arrested after a video that appears to show her kicking and choking her dog went viral.  The video, taken by onlooker Vincent Minutello in Pinellas County, Florida, appears to show Michelle Sieber, 26, walking slowly towards her trailer before kicking her dog in its rib cage.  She can then be seen shortening its lead and pulls it up until the pet's front paws are in the air.   The footage, which has racked up some 2,000 views since being posted on Facebook, shows Sieber release the grip for some time before tugging at the leash again, with the dog gagging for air at one point because of the strain.  Minutello can be heard admonishing Sieber as he films the atrocious treatment of the animal from his car.  He then catches up with Sieber and asks her to give the dog a break.  “Hey, can you go a little easy on that dog, please," the horrified resident says.  “You can’t do what you’re doing.”  Sieber laughs and responds, “Pull on his collar?”  “You are choking him. You are hanging your dog. He is sitting there by his neck and he can’t breathe if you watch him,” Minutello replies.  “You can have him if you want him,” a heartless Sieber is then heard saying.   Sieber, who is facing animal cruelty charges, reportedly told police she was merely training the dog, according to an arrest warrant obtained by ABC’s Tampa Bay affiliate station WFTS.  The 26-year-old, who is also accused of throwing the dog in the caravan aggressively, has now been jailed in lieu of $5,000. She is at Pinellas County Jail as she awaits her trial.  Siber, who is said to have had mental health issues for years, reportedly lives in her trailer with another dog too. Both dogs have now been taken into custody by animal control.  Minutello took to the Facebook video he posted thanking the public for mobilising against animal cruelty.  “Thank you for all the support! For those who would have choose the violent route I understand your frustration. However documenting is key to a habitual offender,” he said before he called on the public to not resort to violence.  “Please don’t incriminate yourselves with violence. That is a short term reaction to what seems to be a long term problem. With this video hopefully we can put a stop to it.”
