Qasr Al Watan is an Arabic words means "Palace of Nation". To celebrate the heritage of the country, the rulers of Abu Dhabi decided to open the palace to public on 11th of March 2019. The presidential palace was used for official purposes like hosting foreign leaders of states and meetings of the country's supreme council and federal cabinet. The facade is made of white granite and limestone and beautifully designed and decorated inside and out. The palace includes a dome with a diameter of 37 m (121 ft), a chandelier with 350,000 pieces of crystal. The dome is located on top of the central chamber known as "The Great Hall", which is surrounded by two wings to the east and west. The eastern wing has the "House of Knowledge", where a number of artifacts and other objects of importance are stored. It includes the gifts from different countries, 2 religious texts in the "House of Knowledge: Quran and Bible. The library with more than 50,000 books. The western wing has halls which are used for official purposes. There is a room known as the "Spirit of Collaboration", where meetings of the UAE Cabinet and Federal Supreme Council would be hosted. It is located at Al Ras Al Akhdar, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. A memory of the palace - Entrance Fee : Adult 65 AED or approximately 18 dollars Junior 30 AED or approximately 8 dollars Please note that 3 years old and below are FREE.
