Dear Students, As Turgut Ozal University Scientific Research Group (TOBAT) we are organizing an international medical students congress each year, which attracts a wide range of students from many different universities and countries, both nationally and internationally. This year, we are organizing the 5th International Medical Students Congress. We are scheduling a timetable which includes a qualified scientific and admirable social programme for our participants. We will be very pleased to see you and your friends as a participant of our congress. The congress will take place at Kızılcahamam Asya Thermal Hotel between the dates 11-13 April 2014. We have prepared a really exciting scientific program which contains a presentation of Prof. James J. Yoo from research group of Anthony Atala in the BEST regenerative medicine laboratory of the world - Wake Forest Institute. They ''print'' organs with 3D printers using stem cells as ''ink''. Mehmet Furkan Burak, MD, from Harvard University will present the NEWEST progressions in diabetes research which have the potential of a revolutionary improvement in the diabetes history. Paris Bettencourt iGEM Team 2013 - WORLD CHAMPION of the International Genetically Engineered Machine Competition will make a conference about their price-awarded project. They designed microorganisms using synthetic biology techniques which can detect mycobacterium tuberculosis and infected cells and kill them locally within the applied organism. Furthermore, there will be other 105 qualitative oral presentations additionally to these 3 above, more than 85 poster presentations, 19 different workshops and 11 different coffee conversations. All presentations will be simultaneously translated into English. We spiced up this top-level scientific program with an enjoying social program. On the first evening there will be entertainment shows like Shadow Theater and Stand-Up. The second evening will be our Gala Night. A very special concert of CAN ATILLA the Maestro of New Age Music is waiting for you.. The congress fee (70€ or 100$) covers all around the congress which means transport from Esenboğa Airport to Kızılcahamam and back after the congress, two nights acommodation at the Thermal Hotel including all services (except extras like minibar and room service) of the hotel like food, sauna, swimming pool etc and the congress programm itself. So you won't have any other expenses but the congress fee for these 3 days.
