[Meow!] In my last video, the fourth in my series on using DCC-EX, EX-RAIL to automate our trains, we developed the Switch Cars! automation to control two locomotives, working together, to switch freight cars from one track to another. In this bonus video, I demonstrate the Streamline! version of the automation that I described in that video. It’s been 18 months since I started my series on assembling a DCC-EX command station, and a lot has changed since then. In my next video we’ll look at DCC-EX in 2025, including the new EX-CSB1 all-in-one plug-and-play command station and booster DCC-EX announced in December 2024. We’ll also look at how to assemble a DCC-EX command station using an STM32 Nucleo board, and EX-MotorShield. After that we’ll look at how to add a second LCD to our DCC-EX command station, and use that LCD to display information about our locomotives.
