14th January stands as a special occasion for all the devotees of Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj. On this day in 1957 Shree Maharajji was conferred with the title of "Jagadguruttam" by India's supreme body of Vedic scholars- Kashi Vidwat Parishat. Shree Maharajji was invited to the holy city of Benaras (Varanasi), in that year, where he spoke for 10 days in the most sophisticated Sanskrit, reconciling the teaching of all the Vedic scriptures. The entire assembly was amazed by his unparalleled mastery of all Vedic knowledge and thus they unanimously honored him with the title of “Jagadguruttam” or the Spiritual Master of the world.
