This video demonstrates my current listing technique for uploading many sports trading card singles to eBay in one fell swoop. I have a shorthand input template on Google Sheets where I type in the minimum number of details to describe a card. Then, I run a computer program to convert the shorthand inputs to what eBay expects--all while handling image uploads to an AWS bucket. The output of the program is a well-crafted eBay Bulk Upload Report that can make many active listings with one button click. This video is a process demonstration and not a tutorial on how to connect a Python script to Google Sheets or AWS through APIs. If those topics are of interest, please leave a comment, and I could consider future videos discussing the technical approach. When listing cards, we all know saving time is attractive. Nobody wants to spend time furiously typing card details. The easiest way to save time is to type as few details as possible. That approach, however, leads to bad listing quality with a lot of missing information. You never know how a potential buyer may find your item, so it is imperative that you include as many accurate details as possible. This approach maximizes the amount of accurate information in the listing while reducing the number of inputs to achieve good listing quality.
