But it's not all doom and gloom- Ferrari got a new boss mid season and then it got super good after that. Ferrari up until 1993 was in the pits. They hadn't won a constructors' in nearly 10 years, they hadn't won a race since 1990 and they hadn't won a drivers' since 1979. Williams and McLaren had super advanced automated cars that had to be copied to stay competitive and Ferrari just couldn't do that. The engine was bad, but they couldn't say that, so they pinned it all on the design team instead. So in 1993, they had to go back to basics, and start all over again when the driving aids were banned in 1994.
