ABOUT 300 households in Gaza A suburb of Chipinge Town Council are expected to benefit from the communal septic and soak away tank. The project is being funded by United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) and work is expected to be completed in November. Chipinge Town Council acting engineer, Engineer Dereck Popi said the massive project will help Gaza A suburb in waste management. The perennial water woes haunting Chipinge town residents will soon be a thing of the past following the rehabilitation of the water reticulation system by the local authority in partnership with a development partner, United Nations Office for Project Services. The rehabilitation of the water system will see the council generating 15 megalitres from the current 5 megalitres that it is generating a day. The local authority, working together with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), has completed a biogas digester which will benefit the local business community and residents once commissioned.
