(I think I made a wrong description at 5:35 when opening the panels. I meant cable for the door locks, not for the speakers.) I recently replaced my SEL's speakers with aftermarket ones. I didn't install an amp. Sound has been much better. I can hear the instruments clearly now. Bass is much stronger and more accurate. The improvement in the sound quality is definitely worth the ~$200 investment. I hope these instructions will make it easier for y'all to upgrade yours. The speakers I used are the JBL Premium line. Although the speakers I have are the older models, they still sound great, especially for the discounted price going on right now. Below are the parts and prices that I got. The speakers are all low impedance ones (3 Ohms) so they actually play louder than the stock speakers even without an amp.
