Through this card, all government services, schemes, and family information will be provided on a single digital platform. This is not just a card, but a ‘Family Digital Identity’ that will take every family into the digital age. 1. Clear Introduction The Smart Family Card will serve as a digital unit identity for every family in the state. Its main objective is to integrate every welfare scheme, citizen service, and official certificate related to the family in one place. This card is an integral part of the Family Benefit Management System (FBMS). Through this system, data from various government departments (Revenue, Civil Supplies, Welfare, Health) will be brought onto a single platform, helping to reduce delays and human errors in service delivery. AP Smart Family Card Overview The key feature of the Smart Family Card is its QR code (Quick Response Code) based system. Upon scanning this code, an authorized government employee will have access to the family's complete details (A-Z) on a single screen. Importantly, this card allows for instant verification of scheme eligibility. This enables citizens to easily access services without the need to carry their documents. Smart Family Card Benefits & Uses This card system offers several key benefits to the citizens and the government machinery of the state. Direct Benefits Access: Schemes and services will reach eligible families quickly. The removal of ineligible individuals becomes easier. Faster Citizen Services: The need to wait for hours in offices is reduced. Service delivery is completed quickly through QR scanning. More Transparency: Since the record of every service and scheme is digital, complete transparency is established, eliminating the possibility of irregularities. Paperless Transactions: There is no need to carry hard copy documents and certificates. Everything is verified digitally. Enhanced Governance: Through FBMS, the government can analyze real-time data and make the design and implementation of schemes more efficient. 5. Required Details & Launch Date Citizens do not need to apply separately to obtain this Smart Family Card. Required Details: These cards will be automatically generated based on the Aadhaar and ration card data currently available in government records. Data Update Responsibility: Any changes or updates in family data will be corrected in real-time in FBMS through Swarna Andhra Vision (SAV) Units. Card issuance target: The government aims to distribute these digital cards to all 1.40 crore (140 lakh) families in the state by June 2026. This card will be issued free of charge.
