The Bottled Imp - Episode 068 What’s in side of the box you may wonder? So do we! The Bottled Imp tries to find just what types of ‘Lessons Learned’ we should be learning. Written and directed by Toby Froud with Heather Henson as Executive Producer. Released in 2014. This is our first fantast short film we’ve reviewed and we thought we’d pick one with a strong fantasy heritage. Toby Froud is none other that the baby in Jim Henson’s ‘Labyrinth’ and is also the son of Brain Froud who created all the concept art for the film. Heather Henson is the wonderful daughter of the puppeteers Jim and Jane Henson. ‘Lessons Learned’ is set in the same universe as ‘Labyrinth’ and ‘The Dark Crystal’ and is in the same vain of being a live action puppet film. The story is about a boy who is visiting his grandfather on his birthday. He is surprised when his grandfather presents him with a rather intriguing gift: a small wooden box. Curious to know more about why his grandfather has given him this kind of present he accidentally falls into an adventure of other-worldly experiences.
