The Firebox Stove is a compact, lightweight, wood-burning stove for camping trips. I've used it by placing random sized sticks in the fire chamber with good results. Intrigued by the Swedish Torch method of placing a few large rounds vertically in the Firebox, I gave it a try. Here is the full length video of what it takes to set and successfully light a Swedish Torch method in the Firebox. The video is 13 minutes long, and that is with a lot of speeding up and cutting. The Swedish Torch was not difficult to ignite, but it did take almost 30 minutes before it was burning strong. The benefit was that it burned for another 45 without needing additional fuel. That is quite lengthy for a small wood burning stove. Using very little natural wood, all dead and laying about, producing minimal smoke once well ignited and providing enough cooking power to prepare food and hot drinks for four, the Firebox Stove is a great choice for your next camping trip.
