460Hp Opel Astra DTM by Heup Motorsport - 4.0-liter V8 engine - Actions & Sound at the Nürburgring!

This is the spectacular Opel Astra DTM M.Y. 2000 by Heup Motorsport taken to the race by the pilot Ronny Scheer on the Nurburgring track in the Tourenwagen Classics section during the 47th AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix. It was the first time I saw it live and I was amazed by its massive 4.0-litre V8 engine capable of developing 460hp at 6,750 rpm and a torque of 500Nm at 5,500 rpm. Other technical data see a 6-speed sequential gearbox, rear-wheel drive, carbon-ceramic brakes by Ap and a weight of about 1.080Kg including the pilot. Just in the year 2000, its debut and most successful season, this coupe obtained eight victories and second place in the DTM championship thanks to Manuel Reuter. Era la prima volta che la vedevo dal vivo e sono rimasto meravigliato da questa vettura che monta un motore da 4.0 litri V8 capace di sviluppare 460cv a 6.750 giri/min ed una coppia di 500Nm a 5.500 giri/min. Altri dati tecnici vedono un cambio sequenziale a 6 rapporti, trazione posteriore, frenci carboceramici by Ap ed un peso di circa 1.080Kg incluso il pilota. Proprio nell'anno 2000, sua stagione di debutto e di maggior successo, questa coupé ottenne otto vittorie e il secondo posto nel campionato DTM con il pilota Manuel Reuter.
