Our friends Culture Shock in Kharkiv help the UA army. You can donate to support them: https://cultureshok.org/en/ ---- [the description below is as of Jan 31, 2022] We've been playing China Cat Sunflower for years as a live show encore. Translated/adapted into Ukrainian (because that’s who we are), simultaneously slowed down and sped up (because that’s what we do), it gradually transformed into something quite different to the song as written by Jerry and Robert. Oddly, in this alchemically transmogrified form, it somehow became even truer to what Grateful Dead represents to us. A band who massively inspired the inception of La Horsa Bianca — even though we mostly keep one foot firmly on the “prog rock” territory, the feel of an improvised (or semi-improvised) flow matters to us a great deal. Stay tuned for more of our own music coming up in 2022.
