It's actually synthetic deoxycolic acid it's what your body normally has in it to digest and break down dietary fat. And when we inject it, it actually permanently reduces fat in the area we inject. So the most common area where we do that is the double chin area. And that's really a genetic fat pad. It's really not related to folks weight. A lot of times you find folks who are very thin but have a double chin because genetically they were blessed with what they call submental fullness. It's a great way in two to three sessions that we inject kybella in this area, which makes a huge difference not just in that double chin area but really the contour of your entire jaw. So when you take those photos, you're not sticking your chin out anymore because that fat's permanently gone. It's permanent and I think that's my favorite part about it.
