In this video, I am officially 17 days post TT + Neck Dissection and I am feeling surprisingly well! Although the extent of the metastasis isn’t as limited as we had hoped, my next steps are still RAI and scans---which is a relief. I successfully navigated a scary bout of hypocalcemia, a chyle leak, and mild nerve damage to my arm, but the best part is that I have retained nearly all my vocal functions and can even sing already! Hooray! If you are preparing to have a similar surgery, I just want to let you know that you CAN do this. As terrifying as it is right now, hopefully soon you will be able to continue exploring the rest of your life. It’s worth it! For all who are waiting for surgery, bloodwork, scans, and more, I send nothing but love and positive vibrations.
