After spending a night near the Cambodia–Laos border, I woke up with hope… but things didn’t go as planned. 🇰🇭➡️🇱🇦 I was denied a Laos visa, and my journey had to stop right there. After hitchhiking all the way and dreaming about entering Laos, I had no option but to turn back to Phnom Penh. This was one of the most emotional moments of my travel journey. Sitting on the roadside, trying to stay strong, but I couldn’t hold back my tears. Traveling teaches you freedom… but it also teaches you how to handle rejection and failure. 💔 I started hitchhiking back towards Phnom Penh, not knowing how the day would end. After some lifts and long waiting hours, I finally took a taxi to reach the city. This wasn’t the adventure I expected, but it became a lesson I’ll never forget. Travel is not always about beautiful sunsets and smooth borders. Sometimes it’s about breakdowns, visa problems, and starting again from zero.
