Mirror therapy hand exercises after stroke — designed to help retrain the brain when movement is limited. In this follow-along video, I guide you through mirror therapy exercises for the hand to support recovery after stroke. Mirror therapy works by using visual feedback from your stronger hand to help the brain reconnect with the affected hand. This approach is often helpful when: The hand has little or no active movement Movement feels inconsistent or disconnected You’re working on early motor recovery and awareness These exercises focus on: Encouraging neuroplasticity through visual input Improving hand awareness and motor control Supporting early to mid-stage recovery without forcing movement 💡 Mirror therapy can be useful across multiple stages of recovery and is often paired with other gentle movement and activation exercises. 👉 Not sure what stage of recovery you’re in or what to focus on next?
