In this video, we're walking through just a few of the marble-paved streets and alleys of Nafplio Old Town. Nafplio is 90 minutes' south of Athens, and was the first capital of modern Greece. It boasts the most beautiful town centre of any city in mainland Greece. Today we begin our walk at Kapodistrias Square with the statue of Ioannis Kapodistrias. Then we proceed past Agios Georgios Square, and the Nafplio War Museum, before heading up the hill towards Palamidi Fortress. Heading back down, we cross Syntagma Square, take a look at the Olive Tree of Nafplio and then peek inside the Church of Panagia.
