Something is on my mind . . . literally. The Gig Geezer learned this past summer that he had a colloid cyst on his brain. It is non-cancerous, but it poses a threat of growing in size. If it grows in size, it could be deadly. The only known treatment for colloid cysts is surgery in which an incision is made and the skull is removed to gain access to the cyst. Colloid cysts are rare. It is estimated that three people per million are known to have it, meaning roughly about 1,500 people have it in the United States. Post-surgery prognosis is generally good -- there is better than a 95 percent chance of full recovery. #colloidcyst #braintumor #brainsurgery
