There is a city called Aeralith, carved into the spine of a cliff where the sea claws endlessly at stone. The wind never rests there. It howls through the narrow streets, sings in the chimneys, and snaps the banners that hang from pale towers like restless wings. From afar, the city looks fragile—perched on the brink of the world—but its foundations are sunk deep into the rock, older than any map that names it. The people of Aeralith have learned to live in conversation with the wind. Their homes are built low and curved, their windows narrow, their rooftops anchored with iron ribs. Windmills turn ceaselessly along the upper terraces, grinding grain and powering intricate lift systems that carry goods from the docks below to the markets above. Even their speech has a lilt shaped by the constant gale, voices trained to cut cleanly through roaring air. Sailors say the winds around the cliff are unnatural. They shift without warning, spiraling upward instead of outward, as if some invisible hand stirs the currents. Long ago, according to the oldest records, the city’s founders struck a pact with a being of the upper skies—an ancient spirit of storm and horizon. In exchange for protection from invasion by sea, Aeralith would forever remain open to the wind, never walling itself fully from the sky. On clear evenings, when the sun sinks molten into the ocean, the entire cliffside glows amber and gold. Lanterns flicker to life along the terraces, and the wind softens just enough to sound almost like distant singing. Those who stand at the highest balcony swear they can hear it clearly then—a vast, patient voice moving through the air, keeping watch over the city that chose to live at the edge of the world. *** This track features: Epic Gaelic battle music Celtic war drums and tribal chants Highland battle atmosphere Ancient bardic invocation Dark fantasy war soundtrack Intense cinematic Celtic music Gaelic choir and battlefield ambience Perfect for: Writing inspiration Dungeons & Dragons campaigns Fantasy storytelling Epic battle scenes War ambience Workout motivation Historical or mythic content If you enjoy artists and styles inspired by Celtic tradition, Gaelic folklore, and epic cinematic soundscapes, this track is forged for you. ** If the drums stirred something in you — stand with the Bards of Cathair.
