STONER STEREOTYPES The movies always present Cannabis smokers in the same way. Slightly stupid, slightly slow, slightly dumb but lovable. There is a reason for this. The government needs people to believe that all Cannabis smokers are stupid to justify the laws. The media (an arm of government) does the same thing by inviting the stupidest smokers they can find, one's who speak in 'wow's' and 'hey man's', 'cool'. They get them to go up against scientists who confuse everyone with terminology no one understands. The science of Cannabis is bias because the government pays their own scientists with grants, and also control the parameters of the study. They only allow THC not herb Cannabis studies and no empirical studies. The Apartheid government did the same thing by hiring their own white racist grant-paid scientists to say all black people were stupid. In terms of stereotypes, if i said all black people were stupid, all woman should be bare foot, pregnant and in the kitchen or all gay people were infected with AIDS, i would be accused of hate speech and discrimination, yet the same people who would accuse me are the first ones to jump up and claim Cannabis users are stupid or criminals etc, and when they say it, its now not an insult according to them. In all categories of humans, you will always find intelligent and stupid people. The media manipulates the interviews by bringing on people who are not experts on Cannabis. If there was a talk on the economy, the media can either bring on Trevor Manual to speak about it (to make the government look good as he is an expert on the economy), or Julius Malema (to make the government look like idiots as the economy is not his expertise as he specilaises in Youth League topics). This is simple media manipulation of the minds of the masses. When speaking about Cannabis, we need to present the facts. The document I use which contains the actual empirical studies on Cannabis dating back to 1836 is THE REPORT. Cannabis. The Facts, Human Rights and the Law which is available on my web page. Once we know the facts and can present them, the media will no longer be able to stereotype Cannabis smokers as dumb, stupid stoners.
