Back in January this year I made my way out to the town of Tea Gardens within the Mid Coast Council. At 8am Upon arrival I soon found the garbage and green waste part of the town had been completely cleaned up. I rushed over to the recycling part and didn’t have much luck either but after about 20 minutes of hunting I found a block of full yellow commingled recycling bins with a roaring JR Richards dark green wrapped Euro 4 in the distance. The first few clips where taken in the main residential area of Tea Gardens then the last 2 being showcased in the more rural town of North Arm Cove. The waste truck (video already posted) has an similar if not identical run to its bigger sibling the recycling truck. They start off in the main town of Tea Gardens before making there way over too North Arm Cove and Carrington (not the Newy one haha) and then finishing off by doing some rural outskirts on the border of Mid Coast and Port Stephens. JR Richards have been running these Euro 4s across the vast Mid Coast Region in NSW since 2009 I believe they only planned to be retired next year in 2024. If you look at the wheels and the overall look of this well maintained truck I looks like it has years left in it. Round of applause to JR Richards for keeping these beasts up to standard for 14 years now. A new fleet of trucks start next year replacing the iconic Richards green machines with newer Iveco Euro 6s. I will make a effort to record as much as I can of these trucks before they are retired next year. Big thanks to the legend driver for being happy with the camera and me tagging along.
