Patching the Toon after bootup ### When you boot into the root shell for the first time, you'd want to make it permanent by running the script below. To patch the Toon properly, when it's booted up, run $ curl -Nks https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Igo... -o /root/update-rooted.sh $ sh /root/update-rooted.sh -f End patching Toon ### Bootloader version password U-Boot 2010.09-R6 f4E9J U-Boot 2010.09-R8 3BHf2 Port settings: 115200 baud, 8N1. This is the pinout (not necessarily completely correct, but works for me): Toon PCB connector → Altera USB Blaster (pin no. 1 noted with an arrow on the plastic housing): pin 1: RTCK → pin 2: TRST → pin 8: TRST pin 3: GND → pin 2: GND pin 4: TCK → pin 1: TCK pin 5: GND → pin 10: GND pin 6: TMS → pin 5: TMS pin 7: SRST → pin 6: SRST pin 8: TDI → pin 9: TDI pin 9: Vt → pin 4: +VE pin 10: TDO → pin 3: TDO serial port (3.3V logic levels, ttymxc0, 115200 baud, 8N1): pin 11: RxD pin 12: ?? pin 13: TxD pin 14: GND When you don't get any Serial data, flip the RX and TX pins. U-Boot shell ### When you are in the U-Boot shell, enter the following $ U-Boot: setenv addmisc setenv bootargs \$\{bootargs\} mem=\$\{mem\} lpj=999424 init=/bin/sh $ U-Boot: run boot_nand End U-Boot ### Check the links below for the scripts used in this video. JTAG OpenOCD ### Download and extract the following file: https://www.domoticaforum.eu/download... Connect all the JTAG wires to the Toon. $: sudo openocd -f [JTAGINTERFACECOFIG].cfg -f ed20.cfg Open a 2nd terminal $ sudo telnet localhost 4444 $ telnet: soft_reset_halt $ telnet: reset halt $ telnet: load_image u-boot.bin 0xa1f00000 $ telnet: resume 0xa1f00000 The password of the new U-Boot image is toon.
