This Christmas season, Tobinco Media Group, in collaboration with the Forestry Commission, is bringing families together for a unique festive experience at the Accra Zoo in the Achimota Forest. The celebration, dubbed Zoo Christmas, promises wellness, culture, entertainment, and family bonding, while promoting environmental awareness and conservation. The festive activities kick off with 1,000 refreshing steps, a wellness walk designed to help participants shake off the stress and pressures of the year while reconnecting with nature. On Christmas Day, 25th December, patrons will be treated to authentic Ghanaian music and dance as the Kwam Pa Band takes centre stage, delivering rich cultural rhythms in a serene forest environment. The excitement continues on 27th December, when children take over the Accra Zoo for a full day of fun-filled activities. The children’s celebration will feature eating, dancing, painting, fun games, and interactive sessions designed to create lasting family memories. Speaking ahead of the event, the Forestry Commission says the collaboration with Tobinco Media Group is aimed at promoting eco-tourism, encouraging responsible use of forest resources, and educating the public—especially children—on the importance of protecting Ghana’s forests and wildlife. Officials assure patrons that all necessary measures have been put in place to ensure safety, environmental protection, and an enjoyable experience for all visitors throughout the festive period.
