Cut Content in Prey and Mooncrash: Voice lines

In honor of Prey's 6th anniversary, here's a compilation of various unused voicelines from Prey and Mooncrash! Most of these have already been featured on this channel, but I hope this can be another resource. This also does not include Cazavor- that good boy deserves his own 30 minute video. Timestamps and additional comments: 0:00 Intro cut content Morgan and Alex's family name during early development was "Li Karl", probably due to their Chinese+German parents. The lines for the alt helicopter pilot were voiced by another one of the minor cast voice actors (the same one who also voices Simmons), but in the final game, it is voiced by the same actor who also voices Hunter Hale (the person who this is also meant to be in-universe). 2:56 Morgan's flashback Some strings suggest that Alex would actually eject Morgan into space from Deep Storage instead of the player ejecting themselves. 3:36 Alt voice for January In the final game, fem January is voiced by Sumalee Montano, but these may be audition reels for two other actresses. It seems like Arkane liked Tim Kang's voice from the get-go. 5:40 Additional lines for Morgan's Video These are a mish-mash of lines that seemed to come from various drafts of Morgan's video. 7:55 Repairing January, Deep Storage Ejection January guiding Morgan through the Deep Storage sequence can't happen in the final game because Danielle can't die by that point. 9:21 Alex calls Morgan an asshole, Hunter Hale transcribe Props to Benedict Wong for delivering the word "asshole" in a solemn and dignified sentence. 11:09 Psychotronics foyer keycode, Annalise's Confession In the final game, the Psychotronics foyer isn't locked with a keycode, so this may have been a remnant of an early vertical slice. 12:51 Fatal Fortress, Password safety There are four Fatal Fortress recordings, but 01 and 04 were cut from the game. The alternate "Password Safety" is very similar to an existing one (https://prey.fandom.com/wiki/Password..., but the scenario is reversed. 15:22 Danielle Sho recordings + sidequest In the final game, Danielle only appears once in person for a cutscene and is never seen again. 17:21 Danielle's Parting Words For the screenshot here I spawned Danielle in the exterior where she might be found. 19:50 The Cook's Sidequest Luka would ask for something to prove you were human (it's not stated what this item would be). He had dialogue reacting to the "wrong" item, including giving him typhon bits. 22:05 Skillet tries to help If the player ate the soup that Luka was making, they would pass out and wake up in the freezer missing some of their items. 22:58 Luka's Story This fills in a lot of Luka's side of the story, from his arrival to Talos I to his meeting with Morgan. It's a shame it was cut, but if I had to guess it may have been too long. 25:25 Igwe's lament This speech may have been an audition line. 26:13 Cut sidequest: "Solar Flare" Many people picked up on this in the final game- the Magnetosphere breaks during the reboot. In this cut sidequest, the player would take periodic radiation damage if they stood near the windows. It is unknown how the player would fix the Magnetosphere, but January's line suggests they would have needed Repair. Arkane also recorded lines for Alex in case the player killed January. 27:36 KASPAR locations, Dahl attacks the office In the final game, KASPAR can spawn in five possible locations. These lines suggest three more were cut. Cargo Bay is inaccessible while KASPAR is alive (spawn location may have been near the GUTS transition). Trauma Center was cut from the game. In GUTS, Dahl has a special interaction changing the gravity, so that may have been too much. 28:50 Igwe/Mikhaila react to Apex Visions If these lines were still in the game they would have interesting lore implications. 30:00 Teasing Dahl, Mika/Igwe take Alex's escape pod A note reads that the escape pod lines are unused for now, but have been left in "just in case". I'm also realizing right now I left out a call from Igwe where he would seal the route to the Bridge. 31:42 Mooncrash cut dialogue Mooncrash has much less cut dialogue, but I included the ones here that would have affected the lore or gameplay.
