Good piece of kit. It retains magazines VERY well. Too much, at first. You gotta insert your mags pretty hard it until they touch the bottom. Over time, it will become easier as the pouches break in. I suggest leaving mags in them for several weeks. It seems Warrior Assault Systems changed their original design because my ATACS ones did not have the leather interior liner as seen in the video. The leather definitely contributes to retention, but I think Warrior executed it poorly. They left the seam where the fabric ends and the leather begins INSIDE the pouch. It sticks out like a sore thumb and gets in the way of magazines during insertion. I think the sidewall elastic is enough when it comes to retention for these pouches. The seamless fabric backing is perfect as it is. So it's for this reason I give these pouches a 4/5. If you pick up one of these yourself, you'll see what I mean. 5 stars in every other department, though. Warrior Assault Systems makes a good product.
