Today on our 2011 Chevrolet Malibu, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with the 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. The part number is C56027. All right, here's what our wiring's going to look like before we start installing it. We've got a yellow, a brown, and a white side. This goes in behind our driver's side taillight, just one connection to make there, or one connection to separate, and this is going to plug in between. The green wire with the small ground, this is going to go behind our passenger side taillight. This, we'll just find an existing bolt and place that on, or they've provided us with a self-tapping screw here if we need to find just a piece of body metal to get it onto. This is what we're after, having that 4-pole plug, so we can plug in whatever kind of lights we'd like to operate. Real easy set up, one of the easiest wirings there are to do. You just plug in these two connections, put a small screw on that. They're going to provide you with a dust cover that can do two things. It's going to keep all the dirt and debris from getting in our end cap here, but this can also act as a holder. We can wind that wire up and use that to hold it. Also, if needed, there's going to be a few zip ties here provided, as well. That way we can get everything secure. And, of course, detailed instructions so you can take care of it at home. Here with our trunk open, on the driver's side, we've got a couple of push pin fasteners here. Let's just work those out. Set those aside, we'll be reusing them. We're also going to unthread the . Kind of like a black knob. It's what your cargo net would hook onto. Now with that off, let's just pull back this little bit. With that back far enough, you're going to be able to see one, two, and then back here on the back side, there's going to be a third wing nut. Let's loosen these up. With the three of those off, we should be able to just pull our housing back, as you can see there, so we can get to the connector we need. We're going to push in on that black tab, then just wiggle it to separate, and we'll set our taillight over to the side until we need it. Now let's go to the passenger side, and we'll do that same thing. Now, starting right here underneath the vehicle at the rear . This one already has a hitch on it, so I'm going to use that to help hold my wire up and out of the way there. We're going to poke our wire all the way up against the back thunder well here, and we'll be able to push it right up so we can pull it out right up here where we need to make our connection. We'll have that one there. Now, let's guide this over towards the passenger side. We'll go through the same hole on the hitch, just to give us a way to hold it up out of the way, and we'll do the same thing over here. All right, now we'll deal with tidying this up later, let's go make our connections. All right, now we see that we've got our wiring up here. This is our ground. There's not really a good bolt or anything that we're going to be able to use to attach it to, so what we're going to do is, we'll just put our set screw right there in the middle, nice little flat piece. That'll go right up against it nicely, and should give us plenty of clearance for the backside of our lighting. Let's take our little set screw, run it on in there. I like just to make my one hole initially. Not run it all the way in, just let that drill tip do it's job and create our little starter hole. Then we can take our white wire, place that tapper through the ring terminal, and then we'll secure this down. Get it nice and snug right there. Now, you do want to watch the backside for any wires or anything like that, that might be there. We certainly don't want to screw out through the side of the car. Seems to be a nice, easy point to get to. Plug our new T-connector right into the factory plug, and then we want to push pull on that, make sure it gets a good connection. Same thing on the back of the taillight. Plug it in, give it push pull. Okay. Now let's line up our . There we go. Now, remember we had the three wing nuts. Start putting those on the back. Until you get one on there, you may want to hold that taillight, just in case it tries to escape on you. Then we'll just get the other two tightened up. All right, now let's bring our cover panel, or whatever you want to call it, bac
