Here, I unwittingly explore the weird construction that is the PS3 Super Slim. From the hard-to-remove PSU, to the large heatsink/frame, this model has a good few design quirks that left me more confused than before picking up my screwdrivers. Tools used - Phillips screwdriver Torx Security (T8) screwdriver Prying tool (a guitar pick can be used as well) Microfibre cloth Brake cleaner (I recommend 100% isopropyl alcohol) Tissues or something to remove thermal compound Thermal compound (I used some Cooler Master stuff) Disclaimer - This is not a definitive guide to disassembling a PS3. Please search for other sources to get a full understanding of this feat. I am not held responsible with any damage and/or injury caused if you wish to follow this video and other sources.
