Elizondo, originally written for cello and orchestra for Benedict Klöckner. The composer created this version of the concerto for saxophone specially for Manu Brazo. The piece consists of four movements, each accompanied by texts narrating the story of a noble knight on a mystical journey under the starry sky of the Rhine. This concerto for saxophone and orchestra evokes themes of cosmic beauty, honor, sacrifice, and redemption, following the knight’s emotional and spiritual journey to his ultimate redemption.
