Have you ever had to roll and been intimidated by someone from a big city or a popular team? Training in Kentucky under mostly smaller teams this has been a problem for me in the past with my BJJ training and competitions. This question comes from our friend who is a solid Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and trains in a small town. He says that whenever he rolls with someone from a bit city he allows psyches himself out. When he rolls with this other BJJ players from big cities he says initially he does well and in some cases feels an edge in skill. But eventually they will get something on him and he gives up and accepts that he's not as good. In this video I share my idea about how he's going into the rolls with a confirmation bias. And in the first sight of failure he's giving up because it's confirming he's not as good. In this video I also share a few videos from my experience that could possibly be useful because they were similar in the sense that I went into things with a negative confirmation bias about myself. If you struggle with similar issues I hope this video is useful to you! -Chewy ----------------- Free Ebook: http://www.chewjitsu.net/focused-jiu-...
