In this episode, we’re working with Luka, a Protection Dog in our Elite Family and Estate Protection Dogs program, preparing to join a family with two young kids. His training goes beyond obedience; it’s designed specifically for households with children. You’ll see him calmly and functionally heeling next to a baby stroller, working on remaining in extended down-stays even with chaos surrounding him, and automatically laying down when he retrieves his ball. Families with young children have different needs. Safety, predictability, and calm behavior aren’t optional, they are essential. That’s why we tailor every dog’s training to fit the lifestyle of the home they’re joining. For Luka, that meant learning how to move gently through the home, respond instantly but calmly around toddlers, and provide quiet protection without disrupting the flow of daily life. Preparing dogs for each of our clients’ specific needs is an essential part of our success.
