Carlos Aparicio is a specialist in the academic, administrative and financial education. He is a certified public accountant from the Central University with a diploma in financial and administrative management. He also has advanced studies in management and strategic leadership in the University of the Andes, where he also earned his Masters in university management. Also, he has a background of higher learning in governance and political management at George Washington University. He has worked as director and teacher in different areas in universities such as the Central University, and the University of the Andes. He has also been founder and board member of important organizations and institutions, such as Plan Foundation, an organization to help children and youth. He's currently an advisor to the deputy minister of Higher Education, International Consultant Pan American Association of Educational Credit Institutions, and academic couple Ministry of National Education of Colombia. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
