As the protection of patients personal information is emerging as a major issue with the spread of online systems, our hospital took an important step forward to address the problem. Our hospital declared the Patient Information Protection Day and organized the declaring ceremony, to bring the importance of protecting patients personal information, to the center of attention. The ceremony commenced with the greetings by Vice President Park Seong Wuk, followed by the declaration of Regulation for Patient Information Protection, and introduced related activities and special lectures. With an increasing number of electronic patient care systems being put into use, the ceremony aimed to help the employees better recognize the importance of protecting the privacy of patient records. The ceremony well demonstrated our hospitals determination to highlight the importance of the protection and security of patients personal information and to take aggressive measures.
