One shopper stated that he has purchased fruits, sugar, pulses, and other essential items so that he can devote more time to worship during the holy month. Citizens mentioned that although the prices of some items are reasonable, overall inflation has increased. According to the public, prices usually rise during Ramadan due to hoarding, and the government should take strict action and provide relief to the people. Several individuals urged the government to introduce a Ramadan package and special subsidies in Pakistan, similar to other countries, so that the underprivileged segment of society can easily meet their basic needs during this sacred month. Regarding fruit prices, shopkeepers said that some fruits are expensive because they are out of season. Although banana prices have decreased in recent days, rates are still higher compared to last year. Citizens believe that Ramadan is a month of worship and blessings; therefore, shopping should be completed beforehand so that the month can be fully dedicated to prayers and religious devotion.
