This film offers a first-hand walk through Louvre Couture as it unfolds inside the Richelieu Wing of the Louvre, where contemporary and historical fashion is placed among the museum’s priceless antiques, jewels, tapestries, furniture, and fully realised period room sets. Featuring work by houses including Dior, Chanel, Christian Louboutin, Alaïa, Vivienne Westwood and more, the exhibition presents fashion in direct conversation with art, craftsmanship, and architectural detail. Dresses, shoes, and accessories are positioned beside the objects and interiors that inspired them, allowing fashion to be read through painting, sculpture, and decorative arts. Across 99 exhibits, representing 44 fashion houses and 50 designers, couture is woven into the fabric of the museum itself.
