Here it is, the 2nd part flying mask free in two years! I flew home back to Phoenix, AZ from El Paso, TX on Southwest Airlines. As you can tell, both airports were horrendously crowded and packed. This is an indication that summer travel is going to be a zoo this season. It was a good flight, very full. The reason it was so crowded at the Southwest Airlines ticket counter is because a flight to Austin, TX was canceled and everyone who had a connection was getting rebooked. They booked a ton of people on the Phoenix flight I was on, making it completely full. It was great to fly mask free, and I hope to never have to wear that awful mask for as long as I live ever again. The takeoff out of El Paso was very disappointing because I was hoping to film a RWY 8R takeoff turning inward into the city. Unfortunately, RWY 4/22 reopened an hour before boarding and many planes began using that RWY again. I hope you enjoy this trip report.
