The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) grilled Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for over 9 hours in connection with the Delhi liquor policy scam case. The interrogation of the Chief Minister has once again highlighted the tense relationship between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The Delhi CM, after being grilled by the CBI, said that he was asked 56 questions and he replied to all of them. He also appreciated the courteous behavior of the CBI officials and mentioned that they asked questions in a friendly manner. However, the CM blamed the BJP for his ordeal and said that the ruling party at the Centre is trying to finish off his party as it can't compete with it in providing good governance. The Delhi liquor policy scam case dates back to 2012 when the AAP was not in power. The scam involves alleged irregularities in granting licenses to sell liquor during the previous Congress-led government's tenure. The BJP has been targeting the AAP government over the issue and has accused the Delhi government of corruption. The AAP has accused the BJP of using the CBI as a tool to target its leaders. The party claims that the CBI is acting as a puppet of the ruling party at the Centre and is trying to harass and intimidate the opposition leaders. The AAP has also accused the BJP of trying to destabilize the Delhi government by creating unnecessary controversies and disrupting its functioning. The tense relationship between the AAP and the BJP is not new. The two parties have been at loggerheads ever since the AAP came to power in Delhi in 2015. The BJP, which had ruled the city for over a decade before that, has not been able to accept the defeat and has been trying to discredit the AAP government at every opportunity. #arvindkejriwal #cbi #delhi #aap #bjp #aapvsbjp #delhigovernment #delhicm #delhicmkejriwal #latestnews #arvindkejriwalcbiquestioning Subscribe to The Times of India's YouTube channel: http://goo.gl/WgIatu For daily news & updates and exclusive stories, follow the Times of India Facebook: / timesofindia Instagram: / timesofindia Download the app: http://toi.in/3SLUCa80 Follow TOI+ for well-researched and in-depth news and analysis Facebook: / timesofindiaplus Twitter: / toiplus Instagram: / toi_plus
